Maria Abagnale is an Italian artist who had mainly focused on the fine tradition of comic book art until 2015. Questioning her artistic direction after a serious health crisis, she decided to return to fine art painting in order to express the new ways she experiences life, both physically and emotionally.
Her fine art incorporates acrylics, coloured pencils, and neocolors and blends her experience in illustration with the fantastic and even surreal. Poignant touches driven by personal growth appear in scenes wrapped in victorious and celebratory colours.
